I’m watching the premiere of Brian Williams’s new prime-time newsmagazine show. The first story was about how any able-bodied American willing to move to North Dakota can get in on the oil boom economic action.
At the end of the story, the correspondent mentions that the oil is being extracted through hydrofracking. SMALL DETAIL. Great! So all those Americans can pick up and move to ND and build a house with their wages, and cross their fingers that the water table under their new industry-supported domiciles won’t be contaminated and/or flammable as a result of said industry.
