Everything Is Terrible!: THE CHRISTIAN ROBOT! →
Wow.
I cannot tell you how many times I watched this video as a kid. And you know, I found it terrifying even then. Especially the zombie robot sequence. Not to mention the stilted dialogue. And Colby’s weird voice. And all the hands-on-hips. And the belts. And the socks.
Thank you, Everything is Terrible. Thank you.

Love this. Taking inspiration from it in terms of how I will dress tonight.

“The great thing about Gaga is she always want to push for the most extreme option,” Card said. “She’s brave enough to let herself be a canvas for a designer to go and really express themselves. Nothing is off limits! With Rihanna and Beyoncé there is an end result of desirability and unattainable sexiness, whereas Gaga is a really interesting bridge between the desirable and the...

Video: Fresh Prince, Fallon & Young - Gothamist →
Jimmy Fallon plays Neil Young singing a version of the theme song from “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” No child of the ’90s should miss this. (Though I’d like to hear a die-hard Neil fan’s response to the thing.)

Pantone names its colour of the year for 2010 →
I, for one, am in favour of this selection! TURQUOISE. I was just thinking today how much I love this colour — though I tend to call it “teal.”

Unfortunately, winter has officially set in (temp: -25), so my outfit today won’t be nearly as winsome and lovely.

Sons of Anarchy. →
I watch a lot of television. So I consider myself qualified to say that Sons of Anarchy was the best drama on the air this past year. Yes, better than Mad Men.
I never thought I’d be so into a show about a motorcycle club, but there you go. Such is the power of Katey Sagal and the rest of the SoA cast and crew.

This picture looks just like ones of my dad and his brother. There’s something so charming about seeing pictures of baby boomers as children, in a day when kids had names like “Bob” and “George,” as opposed to now, when pretty much only middle-aged men have those names.

Bryan Scott has a bunch of photos from the ‘09 Folk Fest up on his amazing site, Winnipeg Love & Hate. I had to miss this year’s festival due to a wedding, so seeing these beautiful images was especially nice for me!
